do you have all the volume settings turned up?

In windows, there's the master volume level, but you can also set individual volume levels for WAV, CD audio, MIDI, etc depending on what's on the computer (double click on the volume icon in the system tray). Also, the application you are using to play audio files may have it's own volume control.

My i8600 is really quiet as well and I have everything up, it's much quieter than my old i8200.

I use a external Dolby Pro-Logic device for headphones that increase the volume while giving me Dolby Pro-Logic Surround sound if it's recorded on the Disc, Radio, DVD player. I take my sound from the audio jack and plug it into my Sennheiser DSP-Pro, I love listening to concerts on this or big HDTV the sound is the same only the picture is different I use Fostex T-40 Studio quality as seen on DVD Beach Boys:Nashville Sounds , first Lorrie Morgan click pause, then zoom in on DVD you'll see words Fostex on the PQ stereo Headphones. DVD or looking at your screen while playing DVD-A, SACD, DVD, CD, or VCR line

(VCR Line is HI-FI sound but no picture to use it it's below channel 2, disconnect yellow composite or S-Vid jack for up to 10 hours using a T200 VHS tape). Unlike the VCR pic sound is Hi-FI, if Dolby recorded you'll hear Dolby Surround.

I live in apartment complex of 114 they all don't like my sounds of Horror in DVD, or Rock and Roll, and I hate getting disturbing the peace fines for our local men in blue uniforms and I use this system to listen as loud as I want even at 3:00AM when I am not sleepy yet, Being crippled I don't exactly do much to get tired SOOOOOOOOOOO

I had the same problem. When I first got it, volume was great. Then all of sudden, it was really low. Pressing the multimedia keys for volume at the top didnt no longer showed the volume control on the screen (dont know why)...

Anyways, I checked my volume settings, my "Volume Control" was at highest. But the problem was my "Wave" was low. Once I moved the slider up in the "Wave", the volume was really really loud again.
