I've use the Alcohol Virtual drive for quite some time now, on my last two computers, I've really found no issues. I usually try to unmount the images when I am done using them, and I do know there are certain products that will not work if there is a virtual drive installed. It basically searches the PC for a virtual drive system, and will disable the software until it is removed. Personally, I've not encountered this problem, nor would I use a program with such a malicious form of copy protection. I figure if they want to punish innocent people because of the nature of the Legal software that their product finds on a system, they can do without my business.
