then i send him this:

i don't have a picture on hand, i'll try to get some to you later. it comes with the alienware notebook that came with it, along with the manual. it came with a small laptop bag that it barely fits in. let me know if you want that.

it has a floppy drive that you can take out and put in the secondary battery. i just reformatted it and reinstalled windows xp pro. i have other software i can put in it if you want (like office xp pro, etc). it also comes with the cd's that came with it (2).

any other questions just let me know. sorry i didn't answer your IM, i wasn't at my computer.

is there any way you could pay by paypal? since i've never did anything like this i just want to be on the safe side. thanks

that's all the personal messages that were sent. the rest was email and on aol instant messenger. i have everything that was said between us, and if this is a scam, i will post everything else. surely there is something i can do if he doesnt' send me the money like he said he would

hey i sent the pics around 4 pm your time, from my mothers like i said i would.
also like i said the post office said the item was excepted yesterday at 10:50 am.

I already look bad from the start of the post made by lawson, now this comes up, nd i look even worse.

Honestly im not out to scam anyone.....U have my phone number, if u didnt get the pics and i wasnt online u should have called me to ask where they were....But i understand....Its cool, everything will be alright tomorrow, when everything is being delivered..

plus if your that worried, like I told lawson before we settled on a deal, I can just return it plus shipping cost back to u, or whatever u like.....It hasnt even been 3 days...

ok, i feel better now. if everything works out then i'll make sure let everyone know and you won't look bad at all. but since i've never done anything like this before, and i bought that laptop with my own money that i worked hard for ($2837.05 - i remember exactly what it cost me)

but i'm not out to make you look bad. i just posted all of that just in case something goes wrong.

OK there is a big problem here,

1. there is a nice crack in the case on the left front side, the part of the plastic is sticking out...

2. the screen, ha blemishes all over it, like u had something laying on it..the case is in not the greatest condition.

3. I booted it up, and couldnt get the usb ports to work...Ive checked on that, it just keeps going in and out, like its going crazy...

I asked for pics before we sent anything...u said u tried etc..Was it u were trying to hide the fact that its in the condition that it is in?

Im not slamming ya, since u said this is the first time u have sold or traded online, but im just letting u know im not happy with this. and am going to return it, and dont bother on the money order, I called and had it returned, maybe if they can get it in time. if not i will go to the post office and and get my refund..

hey wait a minute. i insured it through the post office. i have pictures of what it looked like before i sent it. something could have happened to it while it was shipped. i can prove there were no cracks

the usb ports were working fine before i sent it too. i just bought a usb thumb drive and i used it to put some wallpapers on it. i can prove this b/c you can look in my documents and in my pictures and there are i believe 2 alienware wallpapers.

well im glad u did, it wasnt packed all that well also,

u had in in the lappy bag, then put it in a small box with a couple air bags on top,

also i noticed u put the AW binder in the same sleeve as the notebook.. maybe that cause it, im not blaming u one bit,

I will try to take some pics of it for ya, but since i was having trouble getting the others to ya, this is a 50 50 chance. but will see what i can do, but otherwise i will return it, in better packing back to u.....but send ups,

I will call u later today so we can discuss this, Cause im sure u want to file this damage with usps asap....ttyl

yeah, pictures of it would be great. my dad sent it, like i told you so i don't know exactly what he did. i'm not exactly sure how it works to file for the insurance thing though.

You should reread what it is that the Post office insurance covers... sometimes they can be tricky.

well, my dad called and he said that the lady acted like i would get my $1400 back (what i insured it for). could you get the money there? or do you have to ship it back and i take it to my post office? also, how would they know that it didn't get damaged when you shipped it back to me? so you have to make sure that you insure it for $1400 when you ship it back to me. my dad is calling the post office back to talk to them about this. i'll let you know what we find out

well, my dad called the post office back and they said the best thing to do is for you to take it to the post office there, and tell them that it's damaged and then they can call my post office at 706-654-3168 and verify that i had it insured.

ok thanks. about the pics i have on my camera, i can't find the cable, i guess it's at my house, but i can print them off (i have a kodak easyshare printer dock) and then scan them back with my all-in-one printer. i just have to go to the store and buy some paper and ink.

lol thats my problem too, with my last couple lappys, they all had memory card readers, since im on the gateway no reader, and now cant find my usb cable.
