To get that kind of damage it seems like something would have to be pressed very hard directly on just that corner. It seems unlikely that there is anything in the box that would do that. Whatever the case, I think ttwoodc was getting screwed anyway. The scenario played out just like the one between Karkass and I except I recalled the package before he picked it up. Did Karkass ever provide proof of payment? The tracking number should have shown up by now. He did the same to me and his tracking number NEVER showed up. He supposedly recalled payment to me, but I talked to the post office and they said that there was no recall of any package to me. To recall a package from the USPS, you have to have the local post office call the post office of the delivery and that was never done for any delivery for me, regardless of what Karkass claimed. He also never provided a serial number of the MO even though all he had to do was email it

I can't believe people in this forum at times. If I ever have a bridge in the desert to sell, I will do it here. How many excuses do you guys except... Karkass and his adventures I've seen lately on this forum are amazing...

Good luck ttwoodc, but if I worked at the post office I would deny your claim. That damage is way to localized given the packaging.

Can anyone explain a scenario that would do that given the packaging? I'm a stress analysis engineer and I can't think of anything.

Its amazing that your out to get me, I havent done anything wrong. u freaked out on the second day of our deal, so whatever...
Also u can stop any shipment with a simple phone call, also that package arrive that way, why the hell would i make that up? then try to go out of my way to help the guy, to get his insurance claim?

I told him its up to him on what he wanted to do....Also i posted within the hour that it arrived, saying it was damaged.. I dont know how it got damaged, i just provided the pics to show what it looked like...box and all.

I suggest u quit crying, and using that to make me look bad on this deal, when ive done nothing but try to help him...

Karkass, send twoodcc his notebook back TODAY.I'm 100% behind MattK on this one. Everyone here is sick of your crap and your not fooling anyone with your stories. You are by far one of the worst traders on this forum and I certainly hope the mods see this and ban you from this site. Your MO is you always ask to cross ship and you rarely ever come thru on your part. You never show proof of sending anything. Were going to keep on your case til twoodcc gets his notebook back. You say you haven't done anything wrong??? yeah right. Don't expect to do anymore business on this site. Mods, you can kick me out of here for posting this about Karkass, but how many more people is he going to take advantage of before you do something. dont listen to him... he doesn’t know what hes talking about... anything could have happened it was shipped,... you think those guys carefully pick up those boxes and gently place them on the truck?

Or someone in the know..either way it doesnt matter, I provided proof of the damage etc...and even went to my post office to help twoodcc on this claim...It's his decision on what he wants to do...Not mine, I can only offer advice based on what info I have...
He wants me to send it back...Im fine with that, but by doing so, he will prolly ruin his chances of a claim....He is just scared being that this is his first online deal ever, ANd doesnt know what to do. I gave it my all to help him, as with some others on the forum...so really there is no more to discuss on the matter...cause he just wants it back...

ALso u were out to make me look bad etc..

when ive been waiting a week and a half for lawson to send a laptop to make our trade final. Im not posting crap on him....even though half the time i cant get ahold of him, or he doesnt call me back. etc...he was supposed to send it yesterday. overnight..but havent heard back on that one bit.....But am i posting crap about him no sir...

I never said that boxes weren't thrown around, just that the damage was inconsistent with the packaging and what I would ever expect from shipping. I haven't seen a similar problem within this forum or in any laptop I have been shipped and I have been shipped some in frightful packaging. From what I understand, the screen is usually the first to go, not localized damage to the case.

Given Karkass' history of the last three trades including this one, I find it rather interesting that anyone gives him the benefit of the doubt. It seems awful convenient that the laptop was damaged in this latest case when Karkass again was called on payment status.

And Karkass, you cannot call a Post Office directly and have delivery halted. You have to go through the post office and file an official recall of a package. The post office just can't hold someones package because someone called in. The offical recall is then on file. I should know because I did it to the laptop I sent you when you never sent proof of payment. If you are going to trade, I suggest that you take it a little more seriously. People don't like waiting two-three days for proof of payment for an expensive laptop. Regardless of how chummy things get around here, most people prefer prompt payment when promised. Maybe I'm wrong though. In that case, I just got in a truckload of bridges to sell you all...

I really can't blame lawson for anything he does to you after all you put him thru. And no, I'm no random kid I'm a 52 year old professonal that knows what he's talking about. I read alot of forums and usually only post when interested in buying or selling a notebook. Basically I use eBay for that. But when I see someone trying to take advantage of someone elses good nature it really makes me mad. How many times have you convinced someone to sell you a notebook and you would send them money the same day they ship? What about the pic you put up without explanation it wasn't twoodccs' notebookyou were showing damage of? What about actual proof of money you were sending him that he never received? Don't try to come off as the good guy by starting to file a claim. Just send that notebook back to him today with a tracking # or you haven't heard the last of it. And no, I won't PM you. I want this brought out in the open for all to see and respond. Send back the notebook today, don't wait til next week. And don't post any excuses why you can't send it today.

well i guess every post office is diff. cause even my post office vs, twoodcc's post office said diff things on this insurance claim.

As with everything u get a diff answer from diff people. I realized from day one that u do not have patience. thats why i told u, im refusing your shipment, so they could return to sender. My post office has idiots working there. I cant help that. I have already explained what happend with lawson.
SO im tired of trying...

Also I shipped my asus to lawson last monday, but i didnt use usps, i used ups, and didnt have any problems there!

the question u should answer is, if im trying to rip someone off, why the hell am i here defending myself? And why would i damage a nice laptop on purpose? If there was a problem on my end, i would have sent it back plus shipping costs to him, end of story..

First off, I'm not saying your guilty. I am simply posting facts, and motives.

1. Why would you damage a perfectly good laptop?
A. That way you could justify having twoodcc send all his receipts, any proof of ownership, and shipping bills to you.

2. Why are you trying to defend yourself?
A. Simple, so you can try this again on someone who WILL send you the papers.

3. Why is everyone "out to get you"?
A. Well, we have all seen bad things happen to Lawson, Mattk, and twoodcc and I guess some people just don't want that to happen to anyone else.

4. Why am I so obsessed with Baby Looney Tunes?
A. There just so damn cool!!!

My god,

YOur acting like im trying to keep his laptop.

I have no desire to that. For the last time, I told him right after i got it, about the damage, and told him im going to return it,

I dont care if u leave this thread open, i was just saying that he just wants it back, instead of going through the hassle on the insurance claim, SO there was nothing more to say on that. cause im returning it back to him. So by all means keep bashing me...If thats going to make u feel better.

And no lawson wasnt treated badly. I kept in contact the whole time..I cant help the things that happend at that time...I wasnt thinking straight under the stress....But the fact is I was going to send his laptop back with his shipping costs and some extra to pay him back for the trouble, he is the one who suggested trading my asus for his gateway and his dell...I shipped my asus last monday, sent ups, it arrived wensday..now im still without the dell lappy he was supposed to send. but he said he is sending it today and it will arrive tomorrow.

I understand where your coming from. But your answer to number 1 is not correct.

My post office told me i had to fiel the claim, and he would need to send the insurance ticket, etc..and proof of value. for them to look at the claim.

And told him to call my post office to verify that...but he never did, etc..

Hell that wouldnt do anything for me if he sent that info anyway..if he paid for it with a CC or something like that, he would have the proof right there that it was his. What u guys are trying to do , is put 2 and 2 together to come to conclusions that would make me look like im ripping him off.

but like i said, im not going to get into this anymore, cause i know the truth, and with message boards, u are always going to have people to make claims or opinions on everything, to dispute whatever u do.

thats true, sometimes.. but it is true that shit has happened with everyone(that I've seen) you've dealt with.. alot o people on these forums have pulled of trades and sold comps smoothly... but whenever you've done it, something has *mysteriously* gone wrong. one reason i havnt' shipped the dell yet is bc i can't justify the 2 laptops of mine..well worth more than ur asus as a trade...my gateway is worth way more than the asus and u wanted to trade my gateway and my dell = close to 2300 dollars worth of stuff for your asus = at most 1500....and what happened between my sell to you for the gateway was the most retarded thing i've ever heard...you were supposed to send me 1350 and u sent me a 10 dollar money order..i still have it if anyone wants to see a picture of it...it was rediculous...he also said he meant to ship me 1350 and his friend 10 dollars...hahah how do u mess that up???? i ask and asked repeditively for pictures of the money order receipt or something!! and i he never could give me a picture of that. he gave me a picture of delivery confirmation or somethign?? all of my trades with members on here have went smoothly...if nothing i think u deserve to wait on me to ship the dell...even if i do...b/c i think u got the better end of the deal on my gateway...i wouldn't dare trade back with u...i don't even know if i would get my gateway back if we traded back....MOD's i agree with the guys above...karkass has misrepresented his money more than 3 times now and not been able to pay for transactions he has went through and all 3 times they have went bad....i think something should be done about this....i hope this clears some things up

dude, U offered that deal the gateway and dell for my asus. i didnt ask for it. Honestly tell me if your going to send the dell or not, today like u told me this morning. if so cool, if not then i want my asus back! and if it came down to that, i would send yoru gateway back first if u like.

god im not trying to start anything with u..im just trying to get a deal complete that u offered in the first place.

i was just going to send your lappy back. but u offered the trade not me. i took it,

also i explained that money order, that was for a cable from a friend....but since u guys already mad eup yoru mind about me,

im going to do this,

send twoodcc his back,

i want lawson to either send the dell today like he promised or im sending the gateway back in return for my asus.

Well are you an expert on how laptops are damaged through shipping?

Just because you haven’t seen it, doesn’t mean it cant happen... no proof... only assumptions... assumptions that you have no reason to bring up…
