Well about a month ago I dropped my friends Apple Powerbook G4, it worked perfect for a month, until today when he turned it on it would go into the desktop screen and it would freeze, it came to a point now where it wont load up to the desktop it just sits trying to load up. I have a feeling the hard drive crashed, but wondered if it was my fault.
On the bootup for an apple is there any buttons that I can push to go into a "safe mode" or some other way to boot it up besides just the power button.
At the mac store there is a dent in the side of his laptop probably where the hard drive is located. His comp is 5 months old so he can get a hard drive replaced under warranty but I doubt they will when they see that dent.
Anyone know how much labor should be for a replacement of a new hard drive, or any other tips to help me save money
