Just a few quick questions -
I should be recieving my laptop soon and I was wondering if there is anything I should definately do when I get it. Do I need to / how should I update my drivers? Any settings I should choose? Also, can I put my laptop into hibernation everynight and never actually turn it off, or, is it better just to turn it off every night? thanks!

you should definately open it up and turn it on. That is definately the best thing to do.

do I need to update my drivers or does Sager do that when they make my computer?

You will recieve a CD with a bunch of drivers for the various components of the laptop. Most likely they will give you the latest drivers available, so you will not need to upgrade. However, there are things you can do. Like get the Omega Video drivers, and uh, well, actually, that may be it. I tried out the recent audio drivers from realtek, but I lost the ability to select the 6 speaker setup. So i went back to sager's realtek driver. I wouldnt worry about it too much.

Also, do they already come installed and they give me the disc just for back-up, or do I have to first insert the disc and install everything myself?

well, that depends on whether or not you bought XP through them. I think if you purchased XP through Sager, they will instll everything for you, I think. I am not sure, because I did not go that route. I opted for no OS. When I got my laptop, It had absolutely nothing on it. So I installed XP then installed all the drivers/support software that I wanted myself

I got the O/S from Sager for my 8790 and everything was A-OK, up to date, and preinstalled.
