Pretty much sold on the 3790 but...

I have gone thru endless amounts of reviews and nobody really talks about how loud the lappy is. This is going to be critical being I need something quite while the old lady is sleepin in same room. Every time I use search function it turns up results of how crappy the speakers are. I am looking for fan noise not speaker loudness. If anyone could let me know how it sounds under casual websurfing and some gaming it would be GREATLY appreciated!!

I was playing Fallout in bed for about 2 hours last night with the chix head about 6 inches from my 3790. She didnt move once.

The fan comes on for about 10 secs or so every 15-30 mins. You can hear it when it kicks on, but only if you are listening for it.

I can back up what Roarak says - the fans hardly come on at all during casual use.

Roarak - did you play EQ on Xegony? Big ugly Troll?

I've only had my 3790 for a day or so, but when it is running it is almost silent. When the fans come on it is for a short time and they aren't very loud at all.
