Dell Support

This week I had my first real experience with Dell support. So far I am very impressed. I got a 700m last week and I had the clicking hard drive problem. I emailed Dell Customer Support on Sunday (I couldn't get to technical support because my tag wasn't in the system yet) and I got a response a little while that day. They told me to try a few things that didn't work and requirred a floppy drive which I didn't have. I told them I wanted them to send me a new hard drive and I would send them the old one. On Monday I got an email saying they had sent a hard drive. Tuesday I got a message that the hard drive had shipped by Airborne Express. Well it's Wednesday and the hard drive is here. So far it seems like the clicking sound is fixed in this drive.

What has everyone done who had their hard drives (or entire computers) replaced? I was planning to format it, but is it necessary to put anything back on it? Can I just leave it a blank formatted drive?

Thanks
