Wireless signal strong but no connectivity

hi i have strong wireless signal but on status shows up limited connectivity and DHCP is not being able to assign an IP to my Lappy.....I tried letting both win and intel to detect but both w/ no avail

what should i do?

the win is sp2 does it have to do anything with it?

I have this same problem. I had done this with SP1 and SP2. It shows the correct SSID of my wireless network but it wont connect. Windows attempts to connect but nothing happens. When I try to repair it just says it is unable to complete the repair since it cannot connect to the wireless network.

Try turning off the firewall settings on your wireless card? that might help, or try turning off your antivirus, if you have it, just to rule that out.

to me it helped instaling the latest drivers from intel check the link at the drivers section of the forum!
