Hey
I've an 8600 , just received one yesterday I did download the demo in single player mode - frm gamershell.com i guess

I need to know what video settings are u using for running this game on the 8600

My notebook config is below, I changed the RES to 1280 * 800 and there was lots of lag ... it was almost slow motion

Could you lemme know ur settings :
what resolution
and other settings which are shown in the configuration tool
texture detail
model detail
hardware shaders 1.1 or 2.0
decals
post- processing effects

Plz lemme know ASAP , I'm dying to play this game ..

Need help for tweaking ganing performance

Have 8600 1.6 centrino
768 meg ram
80 gig HD (5400rpm)
64 meg GeForce FX 5200
WSXGA+ screen

Need some help with gaming. Not a big gamer, but play here and there. Have Doom3 and Medal of Honor Pacific Assualt.

Much more interested in MOH - Very slow and choppy video. Video drags like crazy. Mouse moves around the screen like slow motion. Audio and Video don't sync up.

From what i've read around here, I should have pretty good performance with this game on this machine, but it definitely isn't close to being there.

Any recommendations for how to tweak my system/game to get getting performance?

Thanks

Your video card is kind of slow. Make sure you aren't running above 1024x768 (much above that will be tough for that card). Get the latest video drivers from Nvidia or omegadrivers or laptop2go. Also, defrag your hard drive and make sure that you don't have any other software running while playing the game (IM clients like AIM, anti-virus, email programs, etc).

Beyond that you will have to play with some of the video settings to find the sweet spot in terms of performance/display.

Pacific Assault ran badly(Mouse drag ,Choppy and slow motion play) on my 8600 untill I turned the Shader from 2.0 down to 1.1 and that improved performance considerable, runs very smoothly now...

Specs 8600 1.7
128Nvidia 5650FxGo
768Mb 333DDR
15.4 WSXGA+
