You're not going anywhere with that machine, lol. Gonna be immensely heavy and it's not gonna have much battery life.

But otherwise, nice choice in components. Though you might wanna just grab the Dell XPS lappy with the Mobility 9800 if you're planning on dropping that much on a lappy.

heh, when I configure a dell I come out over $4000, I'm not trying to spend 'that' much

I'm not too worried about battery life either, I'm more less looking for a desktop sidekick.

Also is the AMD64 3400+ better than the P4 3.2 w/HT?

Lastly....is cyberpower an OK name?
dunno bout cyberpower, but the Athlon 64 beats a P4 in everything except for encoding.
if you buy from cyberpower expect to wait a month to get it.

Ok, so cyberpower is out.

Who do you recomend for an AMD based notebook, that can be ordered online and configured to my likings?
cyberpower and ibuypower are slow to ship but service wise they are ok

everyone seems slow to ship

Alienware at least a month

Dell a week, unless you get the ATI 9800 then expected ship date is a month
