Ummmm where is my SpeedStep Icon??

Ok this may sound like a stupid question but I don't seem to have SpeedStep installed....should I and where is it?

Laptop is 8600

there is no speedstep icon never has been are you thinking of quickset?

speedstep is not something that comes preinstalled from dell. You have to download it. Sorry I don't know the link off the top of my head. SEARCH speedstep and you should be able to find the link.

No... Speedstep is Intel's own scheming. It comes with every Pentium-M computer regardless of who makes it or what color it is.

SpeedSwitch XP is the program you want to download.
