Been drooling for an Alienware for 2 years!! $900 and above computer systems and notebooks are already considered expensive over here. And I believe, Im the only one with a 7700 with a 6800.
I've only seen/heard two other Alienware notebooks here.. a sentia, and an overpriced 7700 with a 6600 go(even my 7700 smokes what that store has!). 300,000 Pesos! ($ ___ = 300,000/51)
but a frustrating thing happened during december
when I got it(via Aunt of mine bringing it here) it broke down after just 2 weeks of operation. "Operating system not found"
And I have to say t'was really a pain
trying to have it fixed... Had to send it back to the states and ask another aunt of mine who was visiting to bring it back coz(sadly) I don't trust our couriers here.
I rather wait than lose this expensive notebook. And I mean EXPENSIVE. $1 = 54
Philippine Peso at that time.. Anyways, my first post is getting to be long. Received news that my lappy is good. Alienware replaced the motherboard, casing and also updated the bios and I'll be getting it back on May 11
And I hope it won't go down again. Also got a Lapcool4 coz couldnt wait for the customized cooling pad(but I'm still planning to get it when its available) and also got some thermal paste.
Few questions guys.. Can I upgrade my LCD to a clearview one? I really regret not getting it but... I was way pass my budget.. I'm drowning in debt here.
What parts are upgradable on the 7700? I plan to upgrade before my warranty expires. Thats how much time I need just to save for the upgrades.
