Targus 312 and Targus 315

The 312 and 315 are the same except where you see white in the 312 pictures it is blue on the 315.

The padding on the back of the 31X is very thick and comfortable for long use.

Here's a pic of it loaded up. What's in it can be seen in the following picture.

The Sager 9860 which is one of the larger notebooks you'll find out there (17" screen) and we still had no problems fitting in 2 500 sheet paper packages with the mouse and power supply. There's still room left for a cell phone, PDA, or a few other small items in other pockets.

Above is a full 100 count CD case in the front pouch with the Sager 8790.
Below is it all zipped up and holding the CDs, Laptop, USB mouse, and the AC power adapter inside. There's still room for more.

I'd say the weakest part of the case would be the padding on top. I wouldn't consider it a big deal, but if you had the notebook inside, turned the case upside down and dropped it, it has far less padding to protect it at that point. The material and padding used in this series is insane though and seems to be built for war.

Targus XL

We'll open it up from front to back. The first pocket is perfect for a CD or MP3 player because it has an opening at the top designed to run your headphone cord through as you can see in the 2nd window.

This case also has the waiste strap and padding that makes it comfortable for long use.

Yes, it held 5-500 sheets of papers along with the Sager 9860 (17" LCD laptop), the powersupply, and mouse.

This thing is very well padded and holds more than anyone I know would care to put on their back. It is very high quality and a surprise it retaills for lower than the TSB series.

I inherited a Targus 315 when I got my 5670 on Friday. I love this backpack. It works perfectly for this monster!

How's the 17 inch screen Sagers hold up with, say a Shinza cover in a Targus bag?

Yeah, but what about a printer and a gas powered generator. Can it hold those, too? Can it?

Actually I have one of those, and though it is not as attractive as the other one, it's really great for traveling, as you can put 2 or 3 days worth of clothing in it along with your notebook and skip checking a bag. Won't fit in some of the overhead bins of some of the smaller "air commute" jets, though, if you pack it too full.

Is it just me, or does it resemble a parachute? Either way i might just get one for my new sager(loosing sleep over 6800go2 release). ADAM is it available in all grey?

It does feel like a parachute with the waist and chest straps on... I own a TSB312 and from the looks of it, there's not a 312/315 with a single color, only black and grey/blue

May i ask something noob?

I'm about to order a 9880 from pctorque, and i definitely need a backpack. What the difference between these two series. Just their capacity, or are the deluxe ones tougher/have more protection or something?

*EDIT*

Can you just say that the XL one is "built for war" as well, i really like that comment

just bought the Targus XL and it is a great backpack. It can hold a lot of stuff and my 9860 fits nicely in it (actually it could fit a bigger laptop )
