I used to have a Linux partition on my Dell laptop. Now, I've got an Area51m and I was thinking of putting Linux on that. Anyone here have any luck with that?

Any Hardware issues? Esp. video issues. I've got the same video card as you do and was planning on going with Madrake 10. Were things like the networking annoying to set up? I know on my Dell I8000, they were a serious pain due to a slight bug in the pcmcia module.

What I'm really worried about is damaging the screen, since I couldn't get AW to let me buy a warranty.

i'm dualbooting with slackware 10 also, one of the very few dists where i can manage to compile a kernel with out it trashing the whole system.

I have my Sentia dual boot XP and slackware 10 as well.

Slackware is running Dropline Gnome. Sound is working fine except for DVD playback for some reason that is off and on. Wireless I have not tried, but will probably try the widows driver wrapper instead of waiting for the Intel 2100 Linux drivers to get past beta.
