Ok Guys , i dont know exactly what i did,

but i did shut down alot of processes to run 3dmark03, but i have rebooted and my Volume Icon is gone and the Volume tab under Sounds in the control panel, everything is faded...

i went into my device manager and there are no problems under any of my sounds devices, and i DO HAVE SOUND

and my Master volume control on the keyboard works

i even redownloaded the 5660 drivers of Sagers site and ran the install prog, but my sound hardware is fine, its only the volume control its gone and its all faded out in Sounds and Audio Device Proerties menu in the control panel under Volume only

PLEASE HELP!!!

thanks
Dan

A few things you can do:

-Try and reinstall the sound drivers

-Uninstall whatever you've installed since they last worked

-System restore to a point they were working

-Format (it's good to format at least every 4-6 months regardless).

It's not the bios, it's Start/Help/System Restore
