Nortons and Zonealarm compatability?

Is it possible to run Nortons Internet Security and Zonealarm at the same time? Will one cancel out the other or could you use the 2 together for double firewall protection?

Works fine here.

Golddust, you use both of those together with no problems what so ever?

I use both ZoneAlarm and Windows firewall simultaneously and I haven't had any problems...

I guess both Nortons and Zonealarm will work fine together then!

If a port is blocked, it's blocked. unless you're worried about software-specific worms/viruses....

Just read the other day of how Windows Firewall can be disabled...lol...some security that is.

Personally, I'd just run Zonealarm - get Zonealarm Pro if you can afford it..I'm saving up money for that now.

The Norton stuff is just too annoying for me. It's designed to be as difficult as possible to uninstall/reconfigure/turn off.

Zonelarm on the other hand has a *MUCH* cleaner and powerful interface. I know some people have badmouthed it..but I for one think it's far better than Windows or Norton's security software.....
(...awaiting the everpresent naysayers..... )

Zonealarm is good yes, i used to run the free version of it but Nortons is also good and not difficult to use at all. They are 2 good firewalls so that's why i wanted to ask if the 2 could be used together.

I wasn't referring to windows "firewall." You seemed to prove my point with the first part of your post. Anyways, just to clarify, sitcking with one FW (other than M$'s) is fine. Adding another one really doesn't provide you with "double protection"
