Should i have waited???

i've just ordered my ferrari 3400 with 1gb and 3yrs warrenty + insurance for £1500 or $2800, Should i have waited, it is still possible to cancel but i have always liked them its just A) i've read about these PCI experess Laptops coming out and B) Christmas is going to drop the prices isn't it.

My usage is must be good for
Gaming
15"
not to heavy
Not to bad a battery
Amd64 (just cause i want to future proof it a bit)

What do you think Snorre? or anyone else with an opinion

For what you want, it is fine, only the un-upgradable gpu, might be of a concern though....

For your usage the Acer Ferrari 3400 will be perfect I think, and these PCI Express laptops you read about will be heavy beasts with no battery life and definately not AMD64. Prices are hard to predict, but christmas could also drive prices up who knows?

Ah... that's true indeed. Only if you would want to wait until the new Centrino platform will be launched. But you would still wait some time, though. Also, i'm not sure that Christmas will drop _all_ the prices and...
