On a side note, shinza is backordered again I wanted to spend my money, but they won't let me BO til dec 15 for large black 15' I really need this thing too.
Oh, yeah, now I remember that there was a thread on this. I read some things on the Shin Etsu and what it said was that the top 5-6 thermal pastes were all either Shin Etsu or AS 5,3,Ceramic all within a dif of 1C. As for the best I guess it was the latest from Shin Etsu but don't remember the name. I also took it off and put AS5 on and now I am kind of sorry for having done it for Shin Etsu is extremely hard to find - I could find only one guy who was selling Shin Etsu on a computer forum like this one.
As for being hard to take off the heatsink, I used plain alcohol from CVS and the Shin Etsu was off in a minute of rubbing.
Although the temps didn't change at all, I must say I am a bit sorry for getting rid of the Shin Etsu.
