I'm still selling my Alienware Area-51m.

item is "dead stock" meaning they do not make this model anymore...

the chassis its self is brand new, but the style is from summer of 02...(if you follow the NBF link you'll see the origional color i had)

the chassis is the same as the old sagers...

At the risk of sounding lame, cool. Hmmm being that I'm lacking in the info department, is it possible to send it in to Alienware to upgrade the processor? vid card? ram? hard drive etc?

The processor is maxed out for this motherboard... not to mention they dont even build these laptops anymore... this was a VIP job... i asked about upgrading the CPU, GPU and they told me that I would have to buy the new mobo..which doesnt fit in this case... so youre better off buying a new laptop if youre worried about the CPU...

you can upgrade the RAM however

and i forgot to mention that it runs all games great.. (except for doom 3 which i didnt even try, but just assumed), they burned this laptop in with UT2k4, and i played it to test it for a guy who was interested and it runs great, same thing with Star Wars: battlefront...they also tested Quake III on it...

that's funny. it looks exactly like my laptop that i tried to sell to karkass, but it appears that something happened to mine during shipping. at first i was thinking you and him have a deal going or something. i guess not, but that is really spooky.

if I was you twoodcc I'd get a bettter pic of your comp. That crack doesn't look exactly "real" to me.. and no I'm not talking bout the the arrows and the ring around the crack.. the crack itself looks like its sprayed on pink or something.. bah maybe its just me

So let me get this straight. You pitched a bitch at Alienware because your laptop died out of warranty. They finally gave in and sent you a new laptop. And you turn around and sell it?

How would you feel if your Alienware just died for NO reason less than 2 years after you get it it? From a company standpoint, there is a thin line between "high end" and "crap". What would you do?

And the only reason they build me a new one was because my other laptop was lost in the mail. Originally I had to pay over $300+ to get it repaired. You obviously didn't read the whole story.

I need the money is why I'm selling it.

thats because it isnt the real crack... its a pic of MY laptop, with a location of where the crack is....

don't be sorry... when i first saw it, i though he was running a scam too, saying that was the pic of the actual crack ... but the file of the pic says , temp spot of crack.... i almost PMed a mod about it...
