Fujitsu AMILO M 1425 (1.6,ATI 9700-128) - Page 2

Getting my Amilo M 1425 soon, it's with DHL and I HOPE it'll be with me tomorrow!

Anyone know what an "O/B gateway" is? I've been looking at my DHL delivery tracking details and it said that my package left the "O/B gateway" at 7.50pm, after being picked up from the company at 7.30pm.

I think this series tends to get warmer than general laptops.
After more than 1 hour of usage .. then the keyboard became warmer .. and the fan will starting to run in some period.
And I only do surfing .. no gaming for that time.

Is it good for gaming though, despite the warmth?

Just one thing...

could someone tell me if this notebook it's better than the Acer Travelmate 3200 series?

i'm not sure what notebook to get...

the prize in Spain nowadays of this lappy it's awesome(the fujitsu), in mediamarkt it cost 1399 Euros including taxes.

Lates!

If i recall correctly, the Travelmates only have 64mb 9700 cards at best, whereas this here Fujitsu has a 128mb. Methinks you'll want it. :P

amilo 1425 against acer travelmate 4002 lmi

Hello, I have found the Fujitsu-Siemens amilo 1425 with 80 Giga hd, 1.6 GHz, 512 RAM, ATI 9700 with 128 MB and 15.4" screen for 1172.50 Euros ONLY (from notebookparadies.de)!
But before this, I was considering to buy the ACER TravelMate 4002 LMi at 1.6 GHz, 60 Giga hd, 512 RAM, ATI 9700 with 64 MB and 15" screen that I've found for ONLY 1030 Euros (from notebookparadies.de)!
I am a bit afraid of the fujitsu-siemens because I've heard they used to have quit manu problems. Now, after reading all your comments in here, I really think I should go for it.
I don't want it that much for gaming, but more for writing many hours (i need a good screen) and net surfing.
If anyone has seen them both (I used to have an ACER and it was very nice) please let me know your opinions guys!

Don't buy the Amilio 1425, because the have many lacks like a white screen after some minutes/hours etc.

I think that’s sounds a little bit strange, I have read some reviews about the Amilo 1425 and all of them liked it. Especially the display got really high points. And I have heard from friends that Fujitsu Siemens is supposed to be high quality.

I am wondering between Toshiba M40- 114 and Fujitsu Amilo M1425. Do you have any suggestion about this two laptops?.
I don't play game too much and what i care about the laptop are silently, cool and long battery runtime.

Hi, I had an amilo m1425, but it after two weeks of usage, the screen crashed and darkened. Also it was heating so much on the right side and the fans are sooo noisy.Maybe that was my luck maybe that heat and fan is a general problem with amilo m1425, anyway the dealer took it back and I am looking for a new lappy nowYou bet it'll not be a fujitsu siemens.
