Hey,
I use the Adobe Video collection but you would just use Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5. I like that one and its fairly easy to use and it can convert to mpeg2 or pretty much anything.

Hope this helps

so do you do video-editing on your laptop?

I have used Adobe Premiere and DVD-Lab. I suggest trying some of the entry level software such as Pinnacle Studio, etc. if the professional/semi-professional level software require too much learning. And then maybe Sonic MyDVD for DVD production.

If I would buy a video editing software now, it would be Vegas, too. I didn't like Premiere very much.
