yeah just came out a week or so ago... looks like the 150 is worth it for the faster ht type processor and 64mb graphics card. If u have a best buy card u should receive a 12% off coupon in the mail that u can use tommorrow 12-15th

7210 is only an Athlon XP not an Athlon 64

so the athlon 64 is like a p4 hyper threading chip? is it that much of a difference in performance the a xp vs the a 64?

From a technological standpoint, the 7405 is a much better deal. The 64 will wipe the floor with the XP

Deciding factor

The 7210 not having the 64bit AMD would make the 7405GX the clear choice
[didnt notice that on first review].

The AMD64 is not like hyperthreading. Read some reviews. It is much better then HT.

Go to any processor to processor comparison review and you will see the ADM64 is the better approach. There must be several thousand reviews on this by now, so don't take my word for it.

Also the AMD64 runs cooler (important to laptops) and is more energy effecient (runs longer on batteries).

The p4 HT is a good processor, the AMD64 is a better one.
Also once Windows 64bit comes out (in less then a year) the already faster AMD64 will get another perform bump of around 20% (according to AMD & Microsoft).

Nice, quick summary Bjorn. I pretty much share your feelings. Not knocking the P4 with HT, but it just doesn't stand up in most apps to the A64's abilities, power consumption, or heat displacement.
