actually it doesnt let me choose, but which one should i select if i could

I see that now. It seems your router uses an "auto select" feature that you cannot overide. Interesting, as I thought almost all cable ISPs were dynamic.

Anyway, enter that info from your ISP. If you have more than one IP address, enter only one. Click "Finish." You should get a message saying "setup complete." Click the "reboot" button. This will reboot the router. Now, afterwards, I find have to reboot my computer as well to get them talking to each other.

Cannot hurt. This time reboot both the router and the computer you are trying to use right now.

I don't know what to tell you. That is all I have ever had to do to get mine up and running. Did you buy it at a local store or online?

Well congratulations bro, I'm sure bronco, and witchdoctor, will be sending you a bill, for their great trouble shooting lol,

but bronco has the quote of the night lol

"I know it can be frustrating but clues and answer come always when you stop and start doing something else."

That right their is so true...well for me at times lol.

sometimes it's hard to trouble shoot when you can't talk over a phone lol

Cool! Glad to hear you got it running. Wireless kicks butt - I'm typing away waiting to start up Dawn of the Dead in my living room. My old Inspiron 8200 didn't have wireless and I will never go without it again!
