Okay, this isn't really any form of review, because I am just too in love right now to write a real review.
I am not the hardcore gamer that some of you are - and I'm not anywhere near as critical of my hardware as some of you - not meaning that as a negative thing toward the criticism, just saying I don't have any reason to be, since I don't tend to run a lot of highly demanding software.
I *am* a gamer, though - right now I'm all sorts of giddy over World of Warcraft, and oh my GOD does it ever look pretty on this computer. I was (barely) running it on an old Dell laptop before, and it was a pretty game even then, but now ... eeeeee. I've got all the graphics options cranked up, and *gorgeous*.
Anyway, it should be pretty clear that really, I just love my alien, and am thus far extremely happy with my purchase. Hopefully it'll continue to run so smoothly and I won't have any problems with her; we'll see.
The only flaw I've noticed is that I do have two dead pixels - although one is dark and one is bright, so only one shows up at a time, so it's sort of like just having one. Both are waaaay over to the right edge of my screen, and I don't ever notice them unless I'm looking for them. So far when playing games I haven't been able to pick them out even when I was looking for them. Anyway, even if Alienware did have a no dead pixel policy, I wouldn't send it back for replacement - I don't notice them, and it's definitely not worth being without my computer over.
So that's my non-review; I don't do benchmarks, so I don't have numbers to give you or anything. I love my alien; that's about all I've got to say about that.
And here are some pictures - I promised some of you pictures of me with my baby, and here you have them. And even one of a cat in the box. ;D
