New Audio Driver for Sager 4750

New audio driver for Sager 4750. The only problem here is that when you go to configure the Sound Effect Manager, you'll find that there is no longer the tab to test each separate speaker. Otherwise, the new drivers work well.

I found a neat graphical interface to replace the Sound Effect Manager located in the control panel. It does all the things the old program did including the testing of each of the six speakers.

This program is RTLCPL.exe and you can find it in the unzipped audio folder C:\audio\wdm\. I made a shortcut of this program to my desktop and removed the Sound Effect Manager icon from the taskbar.

In the 'windows task manager' program under 'processes' there is a program called SoundMan.exe which takes up 2,524K memory. All this program does is puts the check box to show the icon in the sytem tray in 'sound effect manager'. I removed it to save some ram mem.

To get around this, all you have to do is replace the current Alsndmgr.cpl in c:\windows\system32\ with the prior version one.

I have one question on this topic for anyone. How can I set the "Environment' variable in 'sound effect manager' under the 'sound effect' tab so that it does not always revert back to "none"?
