Well, if they came out with HL3 with the same engine about 6 months down the road, people would be buying up that one as well. That would be they way to go if they wanted to make money. I just hope that the plot won't suffer if they choose to take that road.

Edit: Is it just me, or was HL2 shorter than HL? It seems like HL just went on orever, but HL2 was shorter compared it.

Maybe its just me, but I would rather have a sniper rifle instead of a crossbow.

And what's the deal with the shotgun? Who in their right mind would make a combat shotgun that only holds 6 rounds? Didn't the shotgun in HL hold like 10 or 12?

I think the Hl1 shotfun held 8 rounds...but youre right..thats lame..

also... i think maybe their saving a sniper rifle for an expansion pack????

but i would def rather have a sniper than a crossbow...

WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW jsut beat it and I must say, you may not agree, but I must say that his game has to be one of my top 3 games of all time.

When you go on that rampage with the gravity gun at the end,my god it was awesome!!!!! The story in the game was amazing, but I didn't really get that guy with the breifcase at the end. I guess this is because I didnt beat the original?

I take that back, I think it IS my favorite game. I just had soo much fun playing this game. It kept impressing me over and over again. When I thought I had reached peak excitement the game always gave more. Zelda Ocarina of Time was my favorite game of all time for sooooooo many years, but I'm afraid its reign is over. HL2 is now the king.

Hunt... to answer your question:

SPOILERS!!!!



































THe guy with the briefcase is G-Man, he came out in the first Half Life, and you saw him throughout the whole game, but could never catch up with him. At the end, he gives Gordon Freeman two options, one, die, and two, work for him.

So in HL2, it seems to be that you decided to work for him, and he put you in this "sleep" until the happenings of HL2, which take place a couple of years after HL1.

I was pissed off cause we still dont know anything else about G-man, or pretty much the whole story.

Ah i gotcha. Yeah, in the original I never even made it out of black mesa I plan on playing it again now that I have finished number 2 so I can get the whole story. It's gonna be wierd going backwards to such "old" software lol
