New mobility hacked 4.12 betas

A fellow on the rage3d forums has hacked the beta 4.12's for us mobile users. currently a 9700 shows up as a 9600 but thats no big deal. driver available at

are these any good...cause i got some omega drivers that seriously screwed with my video playback

im looking for every last frame i can get outa HL2 but i dont feel like spending the days leading into it reinstalling stable drivers

Everything seems to be working for me so far. Just use drivercleaner if you need to go back to older drivers. I recommend using drivercleaner between driver updates anyways. Just be carefull as its default setting will even remove your video install files, even your download files.

I haven't done any performance testing to compare yet but my dvd playback works unlike with the omegas (its not just an omega driver problem, its all the newer mobility catalysts after 4.7 or 4.8 I think, though somehow sager found a workaround)

I just played the demo of bloodrayne2 and it ran fine. I like her outfit :-D can't believe they are making a movie based on it and the chick from T3 is the main character.. I'll be there opening night

Update

If anyone used these and they come up with the old 4.10 version strings, u can redownload from his site. Seems he used the version strings from Patje's 4.10 mod and has since fixed them in his updated version. If you dont care about what the ATI control panel says (since its a cosmetic issue and doesn't change functinality) then u can safely leave as is. I have and they is working great.
