Well I did it after reading, debating and thinking. I placed the order on 11/12 with a guy named Larry/Lawrence. I hope it is worth the wait. I then have to wait additional time for apo shipping. Will update when I receive.

Should be a sweet laptop. What configuration? APO? Where are you stationed at?
I don't think they consider it a laptop... they call it a slimmer desktop system... interesting stuff.

Looks good. You'll probably be waiting a while though, Alienware just announced it and I think they are still only taking preorders.

Hmm... the desert. Be safe. What branch? Me, I am Air Force stationed with a bunch of soldiers at Ft. Bragg.

Wait..wait and more wait...!

Well I am CIV, but its for the Army. All branches are here as well plus a large amount of Coalition.

And I called AW just to double check, and in fact the sales guy entered my "nickname" in for the billing, so my bank rejected. Glad I called!

Cheers-

Ok umm I am starting to have my doubts. This is the third time I had to call. They keep putting my billing information in wrong and the bank rejects it. *SIGH*

*hangs head*

*GRUMBLES* And after checking with my bank, they stated that all times Alienware has put the charge through, it has been granted on their end, so it must be a problem on Alienware end. Then in another post in the phase race a guy stated that he had the same problem and that they were having trouble with Visa authorizations on the Alienware side. Nice of them to email me. I really do hope it gets better. I did call earlier and have them run the charge again, however it still hasn't shown up yet in my pending transactions like the other times. This worries me.

Just do what I did and work like madness. I'm 19, go to school full time, and work 10 days a week. I'll let you figure that out. It all adds up to lots of holes being burned in pants pockets, then massive spending, then wishing i had saved my money. However, this 7700 will be totally worth it (I still had to pay for it, parents pay me back later...). Dont forget, prostitution is always an option

Buy!

When I was 12 I had to save for months so I could buy myself an Atari ST. It cost about $150. Man have times changed. And man am I getting old.

I just gotta ask...Why do you people go through all that "PHASE" crap, waiting until (December?!?), when you could just order the SAME thing and get BETTER service from PC Torque? Inquiring minds wanna know...
