Hi

I have an Sager 8790 with specs: 3,2 Ghz , 1024 Mb Mem. 60 Gig Hd.
But my problem is that the notebook get very hot, in all use, writing a doc, playing a game, its the same temp.
Right now The MobileMeter says: Temp 65.0 C , HDD#0 47.0 C.
My fans runs constantly.

My question is .... can I replace the fans with some lownoise, and if so, what are the specs of the fans I should phurcase.

Best regards
TB

If you are only running Word and getting a reading of 65C, that may be a problem. What is is room temps where you have the laptop? If it is less than 80F, then I would conclude that the machine has a problem or is not getting enough unrestricted air flow. What is the 8790 placed on when you are running it?

Those temps are way to high for a normal 8790. Mine is running at 38C while borwsing and using MS Word.

Is there anything else running on your machine. Use CTL+ALT+DEL to activate Windows Task Manager. Then select Processes and click on the CPU tab until the "Image Name" on the top has the highest CPU number. Normally it is System Idle Process which should be at about 99%. If you have anything else running that is coinsuming more than 2 or 3 percent CPU, that may be the cause of the high temps.
