Ok I want to buy the Logitech z5500, will it work on my 8790 without a external sound card. If it will i am guessing you would use the S/PDIF port. leave me one... Thanks for your input

I have the Z-5500 Digital's running on mine. I use the spdif out, and sometimes the normal audio out (just front). I mainly use linux, so some of the games, for some reason, won't go over my also device that converts the bitrate up for the spdif. Otherwise, DVD's, mp3's and the like work perfectly. I would highly suggest these speakers, they are amazing. (btw.. if your getting them shipped.. its a HUGE box...)
