i've had my laptop for about two and a half months now, and i've just noticed something in the last week or so. for about the first 15 minutes or so after the lcd turns on, the brightness will occasionally stutter. i don't mean that the lcd just goes black, but the luminosity will go down a step or two for a couple of seconds, then jump back to full brightness, then go back down a little later. this only happens after booting up cold or after i've had the lid closed for a few hours (say, overnight, or in the middle of the day while i'm in class) and then open it again. i don't think it's anything to do with the power supply; the laptop is always on ac power, and it's plugged into a battery backup/surge protector. i was just wondering if this is something that happens naturally due to the nature of lcd displays, or if this is a sign of impending death
