weird "BEEPING" nose coming from my 700M?!?

from the heatsink/fan grill side on the left, there seems to be some "beep beep" noises coming out. I don't think it was there before. It's hardly audible, but I have very sensitive hearing, and can hear it very clearly in a quiet room. Anyone's else doing this?

Disable one of the USB hubs in Device Manager.

which of these do I disable?

3 (third one down) did it for me. Others have had similar experiences with 1.

do you mean third one down as in the Host Controller 24C4?, or the third Root Hub? Will this disable the USB ports?

Don't disable it. The very first USB root hub listing worked for me.

Right click first USB root hub >> properties >> power management

Make sure the top box: ...turn off this device to save power is unchecked.

If it doesn't work try the other usb root hubs.

Replied in an IM. And actually, my third one was the printer, lol, so I disabled the second one.

Ok. I just did that, and it seems to have worked. I wonder if it'll drain the battery faster?
