Umm, I know what a diagnostic screen and logo screen is. I would hope everyone knows that. I have been dealing with computers for almost 20 years in some fashion. I don't understand what the contest you referred to is.

To who it may concern:
I have come to the conclusion, after careful study of my patient, that one 'colossus' can no longer be considered sane. Thorough testing, as well as many hours of observation, have led me to believe that this degredation in his person happened fairly rapidly, without warning, and although the exact cause is not known for sure, at least some of it can be attributed to a certain wallpaper that was posted on a website he frequents, known as "Notebookforums.com"

I submit to you now my patient, who I find I have no hope of being able to cure. I believe he needs some medicine to treat this, particularly Dextroanphetamine and Ritalin quite possibly, but as I am merely a psychologist and not a psychiatrist, I am unable to make a definitive judgement on the perscription, as I am unable to issue perscriptions myself. I leave it in your hands, good doctors of the Asylum, to determine what course needs to be taken.

I think it depends on what your BIOS post image is. Of course you prefer the diagnostic screen given the gateway logo

It depends. I like the logo instead of the scrolling words. The screen is more serene . looks better. If you get the diagnostics screen, you're compelled to read it all, it's hard on the eyes and makes you work your brain, which i dont like.
