Tecra 8100 display problems

Thread Starter
Hello,

I have a Toshiba Tecra 8100 laptop. Recently, the display appears a bit messed up. For example, the entire display, for some reason, is condensed into a small square about 1/2 or so of the screens original size, centered. That is, my 14 or so inch LCD now works as if it is a 8" LCD.

How on earth do I fix this? I assume there is some sort of function key I am not aware of...

Hey mate....

i had the same problem when i 1st purchased my toshiba tecra 8100....

it's a driver problem, you either need to donwload the latest driver for your display card, or simply install windows xp which will automatically fix the problem for you.

hope it helped...

You may want to check your display size as well......I had the same problem until i expanded my display to the max.

jrf - it´ll run better than 2000 as long as you have enough RAM. I have it on mine (I upgraded from 2k in august) with 192MB (more would still be better) and I am happy with it. It does several things notably quicker than 2000 did, just make sure to use the Windows classic mode. good luck
