spring cleaning my (relatively new) XP Pro partition through msconfig. anyone know if the Ati2mdxx is really necessary? i have disabled the Ati Hotkey Poller in the services tab without problem. and another thing...all the rest of them 9823945284 micro$loth services....i know they arent all needed, anyone have a breakdown of which can be safely disabled?

Man, do you look to create problems or what?

I'd leave it alone, I mean anything that the video may need is fairly important... not sure what that driver does, but it's bad luck to mess with ATI stuff... prone to problems.

Glad I could be so helpless,

For ATI video cards. System Tray access to display mode changing?
Being that they are not sure I am leaving mine alone.

I always disable mine.
But you got to do it in the services menu.
Never had any performance issues with killing it.
It's just an AD for ATI.
