I got to "test drive" the unit at the local computer store. I really liked it however it cannot be a person's only computer. I tried a mock "essay writing, e-mail, forum posting" session on the thing. I couldn't handle it after maybe 20 minutes. Its just too tiny. I think the smallest screen size I could live with is 14" for my work computer.

its crippling flaw, the harddrive is not a standard notebook harddrive. it uses a kind of internal pcmcia harddrive, like those in ipods. hence the 30gb maximum size and slow slow performance.

I think that laptop is way too expensive for what it does and offers. Their key selling point is how portable the TR1A is and I am just not real big on having a super portable laptop that has to sacrifice in so many other areas. It has the XBRITE LCD technology but at 10.6" it won't matter how clear the screen is because you will have to use a microscope to see it
