Ugliest computer-cases

Post in this thread the ugliest computer case(s) you've ever seen. Links or pictures.

My vote goes for the ones in ibuypower (all of them save maybe one, that is more mildly repugnant). The sneaker/toothbrush -design (abundance of cheap plasticy bits and things that serve no purpose) makes me sick and it looks like they were designed by a 6-year old boy with no taste. I'm blind!

I think those IPower cases are decent, fulla cheeze but decent, but maybe that's because im Asian.

Anyway, my vote goes to those old IBM Apriva cases and any generic beige box.

I agree that the generic beige boxes are really ugly, but I don't find them abhorrent like the Ipowers, but maybe that's because I'm a design student and like simple things.
..or because I've built up my tolerance since I still have the same generic beige box after 8 years

I didn't find images of the Apriva cases on google, does anyone have a picture/link?

Keep them cases coming! Custom cases are also included in this thread, so there should be an abundance of ugliness to find.

Some of the cases offered by IBuyPower are nice, esp the Raidmax cases.

This looks pretty cheesy to me. Reminds me of a ghetto blaster.

Could they have ripped off the Mac case any closer without being sued?

Yes.

Is that a Lian Li case? I really love the side mounted hard drive racks.

Im not sure about the pics on the Apriva cases though, lately, i found one in the office and me and the other guy in the IT dept stripped it down for parts (hard disk, IDE cables, floppy drive, CD rom, CMOS battery...

Anyway, the Apriva is a flat case (for those who dont know what it is, it's basiclaly a tower on it's side with the innards rearranged). It's beige (massive style point loss), cheesy blue buttons. Even to make it worse, the thing was covered in dust. I had grey stains all over the front of my shirt and my pants...

Actually, you guys dont know cheese until you've been to a Hong Kong computer shopping mall. Go to I-Cute's (a case manufacturer specializing in cheesy cases) website and ou might get a taste of it. Pooly constructed cases with big light tubes running up the side. Horrible. And on top of that, they're beige most of the time.

Yes, it's the "new" Lian Li V1000. It's a very innovative case in its own right, despite the similarities in design with the G5 chassis. It uses a BTX cooling design without requiring a BTX motherboard. If I were to build a computer today, this is the case I would get.

Here's anothe G5 case clone. This one is more shameless...

Haha...I've been to "Triple Goodness" street in the city of Shenyang. It's a high tech street with about 100 computer shopping malls. I've seen more shabby cases in those malls than I'll probably ever see in my lifetime anywhere else. So I think I know exactly what you mean. It kinda makes me wish we had that kind of malls in the US. Best Buy just doesn't cut it for the technophile and gadget freak.

no innovation there, just copying the externals of the G5, smacking an LCD on the front then using a standard case design for the internals.

I wasn't talking about that case. I was talking about the one I posted previously.
