Compare Dell VS Toshiba

My first post here. Just in time to ask for opinions on purchashing a Dell 8600
vs a Toshiba M30X.

Very similar machines. I have read many of the 8600 reviews here and most owners seem to be pleased. I am looking at an 8600 with:
  1. Pentium M 1.4
  2. 64Mb FX Go5200
  3. 60Gb 7200 rpm hardrive
  4. 512 Mb single dimm
My main concern is reliability, good battery life, more than 3 hrs is desired.
All opinions are welcomed.

Reliability? No problems here. Even dropped the thing. (It wasn't my fault.)

Good battery life: I can get 4 hours. Don't know about the Toshiba.

I LOVE my 8600. It's a great machine for a mechanical engineering student and has lived up to everything I want in a computer.

first of all what i am gonna tell you guys is a simple one

like that toshiba doesn't use 7200rpm HDD yet since they don't but DELL does use! dell rulez that's simple
