About a week and a half ago I went to turn on my sager and Windows would not load. It would just stay in the 'Windows XP pro' boot up screen. I had recently installed the memory stick drivers upgrade. I noticed that the squares that go across a bar in the windows boot up screen were going very slow. What do those squares represent though? Before this problem i noticed that when i turned up the volume to a certain point through the headphone jack I got a loud constant 'EEEEEHHH!'
Anyways, today i was getting ready to send it back when I decided to try to boot it up again. It LOADED!
. I suspect it might be the hard drive. Is there anyway to test the health of my HD or memory? Should I start backing up my files? Is it time to purchase a new HD? Am I covered by the warrenty?
What else could it be? Any help/info is appreciated. TY
-Edit- I forgot to mention that the keyboard would not respond. I hooked up my desktop keyboard to try to boot in safe mode.
