Mine is supposably on the truck heading to my house sometime today! Thanks Syn!!!

bah I'm confused about all this lit, stuck and dead pixel buisness. I've allways used a CRT monitor on my desktop so I've never had that problem. Heck I haven't even seen a dodgy pixel.. so I'm just hoping I dont get any ^^

Hoping I don't have any problem with my drivers, as I went with no raid and had the OS installed.. if I do I guess I'll just have to look up Potato's sweet guide.

ok now I get it.. for those who didn't order an os.. you have to copy the drivers off the cd onto a floppy from your pc..then stick it in the notebook..otherwise the windows setup doesn't reconize the HDD..

Thats the problem with being on this board.. I didn't know what a pixel was either lol I had one stuck pixel on my last notebook..but it was hard to see because it was dark and I really had to search for it to find this. These however are light blue.. and easy to see on a black background. They are each the size of a pin prick..The one to the right doesn't bother me becuase its really close to the edge.. the one on the left ..we shall see once I have everything installed..which im doing right now..

Do you mean tracking? I got that today after the laptop was already here.. If you mean confirmation of order, I had that the next day..minus a few delays over the wireless..

I mean an email letting you know that the laptop has been shipped (on it's way to you).

Congrats Syn! I'm sorry to hear about your two lit pixles. I dont thing it would be as bad if they were just dead.

My laptop shouldnt be far behind yours I would think, since we ordered on the same day.

I'm a little worried about the pixle thing. If I have lit pixles, I might return it and go with Hypersonic and get the $99 no dead pixle garuntee. Right now I just want to get it.

What do you think of the quality of the 9860? Is it a nice laptop?

I find the people that don't know what a dead pixel is or don't actively search for them are much happier with there machines because through normal use they'll never notice a dead pixel. Those that run every screen test to find dead pixels are usually the unhappy ones. Ignorance really is bliss sometimes

heh indeed I agree with that
Im not that anal though about pixels as long as it doesn't bug me while im running things..so hopefully it won't lol

I don't know if I could handle dead/lit pixels though... even on the edge of the screen. I think that would really bother me. I'll keep my fingers crossed for mine. When you spend almost $3000 on something, you want it to be perfect. Hypersonic does have the no dead pix guarantee for $99 bucks... I think that it would bother me enough to actually ship the one I get from PCT back if there is even 1 dead pix, then order from Hypersonic. I hope I don't have to do that.

Did you buy from Sager? Im not sure what Sager does.. PCT gets the info from Sager the following day after its shipped and your tracking number is your confirmation that it has been shipped..
