I received a new 5690 about a month ago. I've never looked for dead pixels and so as far as I know it's perfect.

Heh that's the best way to be.. ::sighs:: But on start up pure black screen to light blue pixel's stood out like a beacon lol

Just now finally got windows to start installing.. I did massage it lightly..so far no change...it seems to only be noticable on a dark background...i'll try again in a few minutes once I get everything installed..

Mine was shipped yesturday with 2 day air shipping. It MIGHT be at my house right now, unfortunately PCTorque said that the tracking number is lost due to a glitch at UPS.

I'm off for the weekend right after work, and without knowing that the system has been delivered for sure or not, I'm not going to waste an hour driving home to see if I can pick it up before my trip.

ah well...

Mine was shipped on Friday also with 2nd day and the eTA according to UPS is Tuesday.. not monday
