Hello there,

I haven't found this problem anywhere else (in this forum or in Google), so I hope this question wasn't answered a thousand times before.

The situation:

In august, my notebook (Gericom X5 Force - pretty unknown european manufacturer with probably the worst tech support in the universe) all of a sudden switched keys on its keyboard:

- ~ / ` now maps to + / =
- , / > now maps to printscreen (although printscreen isn't even on the keyboard)

What I've tried so far:
- format complete hard drive and re-install Windows --> nothing changed
- install linux instead of windows --> nothing changed

Has somebody encountered a similar problem and / or knows a solution?
