Appears to be dead!

Hey Everyone. Alright this is my first post so hopefully I can get some ideas from here.

Alright here is the deal. I have a toshiba satellite 4600 pro laptop. For whatever reason it won't turn on. When I push the on button the power light comes on but nothing else. Now when its like this i can push keys on the keyboard and the function light will come on. If I keep turning it on and off eventually it will turn some of the laptop parts on. The cpu fan will start spinning and the lcd willl turn on but I only get a white screen. WHen it comes to this stats the on line starts to blink orange. I Have tried with both the battery and the ac power and to no avail. I have replaced the ram. I have removed the hdd. I have even ripped the whole laptop apart made sure there was no burn marks on the cpu and that the monitor was in the right spot. From what I can see everything appears to be fine. Also I have tried removing both the hdd and the ram and just turning it on to see if maybe i would get some bios beeps to determine what is wrong but also to no avail. So I am kind of confused now as to what could be the problem. Any ideas?

Toshiba

Check to see if its working on Ext. monitor first off. If not try swapping the CPU. Process of elimination first. If thats no good theres a shorted component likely and we can diagnose it for you. ken@ikenfixit.com

I will try that first thing tonight. I don't have access to another cpu but i can try an external monitor. I will let you know how it goes.
