Quick compaq x1000 question

can you have two different sized memory sticks in this laptop? i know it was one that is unchangable and one you can change. I want to get it cheap with 128 mb ram and get 512 from crucial, would this work? i know some pc's have to have 2 of the same size ram chips

you can check these forums,there was a tread about x1000 for a long time and you can find your answers there,all of them it helped me alot cause I also bought x1000 and I am very satisfied although I oredered mine with 512 mb ram
