Which video drivers should I use for my 3790? I'm having nothing but problems

If I use the original drivers from Sager, I can play most games and view all videos with no problems, except Halflife 2 runs like crap.

So I upgraded to the latest Omega drivers, and now everytime I exit any program, my desktop reverts to a 1400x1050 resolution and there are no available resolutions higher than that. But if I switch to a lower resolution first, then the 1680x1050 becomes available.

So I changed to the latest modded Catalyst drivers, and the same thing happens. Halflife 2 runs great, but everything reverts to 1400x1050 after any program shuts down back to the desktop.

So now I changed to the second set of drivers from Sager's website for the 3790 and Halflife 2 plays great, but now any video that I try to watch looks all psychodelic with bright colors shimmering on the video objects.

So what driver should I use that won't cause me problems?

use drivercleaner to remove your current drivers and reinstall. The sager 8.04's are not bad. I'm currently using hacked catalyst 4.12s without issue but I haven't tried playing half life 2 yet with them as I was forbidden to buy any games before xmas or risk punishment by death. :-)
