Time to clean out the fur balls

Hi fellow 8890 owners.
Since most of us have had our 8890's for about 12 months now, I had noticed my fans had been continuously on and the CPU temps climbing over the 55 degC mark.

Well since reading the 56xx unofficial AS guide, I finally did the big clean of the heat sink.

I would highly recommend if you have not already done so to clean your heatsink out every 6 months at least. The fur ball it creates by 12 months is not pretty.

I do mine once every 2 months or so depending on how the fans run.
I can usually tell by now if its cool enough because the fans will cut out if I am just browsing the net.
I also just did the Arctic Silver guide.

I have to clean mine out about every 2 months or so. Having a dog doesn't help out any I'm sure either. I can tell by the fans also, when playing a game if I ever hear the fans kick into the highest setting that means its time to clean it up again.

Its too bad there wasn't a filter on the intake for the fans. Just some foam or something else that I could just wash in the sink and reinstall. I've wondered what people that are afraid to take apart their laptop do when the heatsink gets clogged. Its no problem for most people but if my mom needed to it would be a pretty sorry sight. =p
