Hey,
I bought a 9860 from PCTorque mid last week and specifically requested to be informed if it would take longer than 5 business days to ship out. No word on a timeline, but I was told it would most likely ship out this week.
So after a few e-mails with PCTorque there is still no difinitive information, except that I am supposed to receive notification via e-mail when it is shipped.
No e-mails received... so I call Sager and talk to a guy there who is the rep for PCTorque and after talking to him he tells me that the router I ordered with it (which I thought was actually internal) will delay it till next week. So I tell him to cancel the router. So he does, and tells me I'll get a refund on that, and that he'll definitely be shipping it out on Friday (today).
No e-mail today, so I call in and talk to the same guy, he tells me it will definitely ship today. I ask him again if I am supposed to receive notification, he says yes.
No notification today, so I have no idea what is going on.
My question is, since this is an expensive item, why doesn't PCTorque/Sager have more reliable ship dates? And if those dates are not reliable, why am I being missinformed by not only the PCTorque staff, but also the Sager staff?
I've read nothing but good things about both companies, but i'm growing weary of this since I needed to replace my current laptop this week, and am now in a sticky situation.
