9860 Dead Display Problem... - Page 2

I now have problems running Doom3. Ocassionally, it will lag the screen and take the once smooth frame rate and create a choppy slowdown in the game.

Anyone else have this issue? Is it only when the battery level drops or are others having this issue? Could it be GPU heat? Not sure, but it is annoying for a 3500 dollar laptop to choke on a game that it plays flawlessly at times... and other times.... NOT!!!

When battery level drops? If your trying to run doom3 on battery more then likely your cpu is clocking up and down..I was playing my game and accidentally pulled out the ac cord then suddenly chop city.. looked at Mobmeter..cpu was clocking down to 2.8 up to 3.0 down again back and forth..soon as I plugged it in it went away.. There's probably some setting to keep the cpu from down clocking but you can kiss even a hour of battery life goodbye which makes it pretty pointless..
