I heard there was a british movie based on HL1, but valve turned around and halted them from releasing it because it wsa turning out so horrible.

I've heard that form alot of places but I don't know if it's true ... because I personally have never been able to find it online ... while others "have been able to"

http://imdb.com/find?q=Half%20Life;tt=on;nm=on;mx=20 but there are bad movies coming out named half life,

HL1 Movie would be superb, HL2 movie .. well HL2 is a little camera shy .. it's 100% game. Still, I'd love to see both ... or hell even a Metal Gear Solid anime that went without the bad comic relief/bad anime indulgences.

Wow the game looks kick ass.. I need a laptop.. So for someone who loves good story plots, would you say half-life 2 is for me or is it just an eye candy fps game?

You'd have to play the first half life for a brilliant storyline, the second one isn't as cool but it's still there.

Question for all of you guys.

I have a Dell i9200 and i'm trying to get the game to run in widescreen mode. I have the settings in HL2's control panel set to widescreen 16:10, but the only resolution it'll run full screen at is the native 1900x1200. Lower resolutions have a black border.
I'm running the latest Omega drivers, and have tried both settings in the display properties (stretch to fit panel and stretch while maintaining aspect ratio). Is there any way to run the game at the 16:10 aspect ratio at a resolution OTHER than 1900x1200? It's playable at that res, but i'd like to get a better frame rate by lowering the res if I can. Any help would be appreciated.

alexrud,

right click your desktop<properties<settings<advanced<displays< your lcd panel< tell it to fit to screen

and yeah, hl2 looks amazing even when not at native resolution .. suprised the hell outa me ... if you've ever seen it run at 800x600 on a crt you'll be even more suprised.
